I am happy to report this fine day, that Betty is now a show dog. She has been entered into the Chicago Red Eye's 2008 Most Beautiful Dog competition. The competition is fierce, but we (Betty & I) are crossing our fingers and paws that she will get nominated.

My grillz

I had a dentist appointment today for yet another incident with my tooth (hearing your dentist say "you are not allowed to have any emergencies within the next 5 days...I will be gone at a conference" is never a good thing). Yikes. Anyways...as I was sitting there in the dentist chair bright and early before work, I thought to myself this is one place I will never feel self-actualized. I was getting impressions taken for my second fake grill (which translates to "crown" for the more conservative reader), and my dentist handed me a wad of paper towel for the inevitable drool which was bound to come trickling down my chin. As if that was not enough, the dental hygentist then came at me with the vacuum to suck the saliva out, which my tongue just happens to get stuck in every time. Self-actualized....not even close. As I was leaving my appointment, the dentist says, "if your temporary tooth comes out, just get some denture glue and stick 'er back in". Fantastic. See you in two weeks.
