Another busy day in the office. Email chain between some co-workers today:
Roshan: I no longer want to be friends with you.
Heather: Ok, thanks.
Roshan: That was Mazen. I can't believe that you would say OK to that though.
Heather: Whoops. I mean, it totally was not okay. I was devastated.
Mazen: Roshan, at least have the decency to tell Heather in person that you no longer want to be friends with her. Email is such a cowardly outlet for such sentiments.
Roshan: Mazen, at least have the decency to tell me in person that you don't want me to be Heather's friend. Using my computer is such a cowardly outlet for such sentiments.
However, you have opened my eyes to the frailty of my friendship with her.
Heather: Roshan - you are my best friend. I just didn't want to show you how truly hurt I was by your email. Although I came across like I didn't care, I was broken on the inside.
Mazen: Eileen, you are my best friend. Nuts to Heather and Roshan.
Eileen: Thank you, Mazen. I was starting to wonder if the sole reason I was included on this email was so Heather and Roshan could flaunt their friendship. And don't worry, our friendship will never fall victim to faulty communication.
Heather: Roshan - this gives us reason to flaunt our friendship even more....billboards, websites, radio station ads, etc.
Roshan: I'm all for flaunting. They don't pose a great threat any way.
Mover's and shaker's here at our company. Takin' care of business....one day at a time.
